Lizard Just Hanging Around

Loving the sunshine! Found this lizard just hanging around on the big whiskey barrel pot. Getting all warmed up. These are great because they eat the ants and other bugs. Spring is here as baby lizards have been out and around too.

Crockpot Green Chili Chicken and Corn Stew

Fall is upon us and there's nothing like a bowl of soup or stew. I created this crockpot green chili chicken and corn stew recipe today. A combination of hot and sweet, loaded to the max. There is not a lot of salt added, so you can add more to your liking. Created in the kitchen of Robin Harley October 24, 2016

Crockpot Green Chili Chicken and Corn Stew

2 large chicken breasts, cooked and cubed
29 oz can corn, drain and rinse
5 - 6 small/med potatoes, cubed
4 - 14.5  oz cans chicken broth (Reserve 1 can for thickening)
2 Tablespoon dehydrated onions
1/8 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 tsp cumin powder
1/4 tsp Italian seasoning
1 1/2 tsp salt
1/2 cup diced green chili

Add all ingredients in a 6 quart crockpot. Place on HIGH for 3 hours.

THICKENING: Mix 3 Tablespoons flour to 1 can chicken broth. Whisk until mixed well add to crockpot and stir. Cover and cook for another hour or more.

Feed The Hummingbirds

Feed the hummingbirds with a mixture of 1 cup of water to 1/4 cup of sugar. Bring to a boil and let cool. These little guys don't need all that red food coloring. You can make up batches and store the extra in your refrigerator. Enjoy these beautiful, busy and playful birds!
